Cold Plasma in Clinical Dermatology

Dr. Peter Friedman delivered a talk on cold plasma research at “The Future of Dermatology Symposium” at the American Academy of Dermatology’s 2022 Innovation Academy Conference in Vancouver, B.C.

Dr. Friedman spoke about the “current achievements and new trends in clinical dermatologic cold plasma research,” including cold plasma’s approval in Germany for the treatment of chronic wounds and its promising applications for treating actinic keratoses, viral warts, hair loss, and even early skin cancer.

Most exciting, perhaps, was Dr. Friedman’s acknowledgment of how much farther cold plasma can go in the treatment of these and other dermatological conditions. “Plasma medicine is just taking its first baby steps,” Friedman said in his talk, “but it shows promise.”

AAPlasma is proud to collaborate with Dr. Friedman to unlock this promise and bring relief to patients worldwide.
