AAPlasma is Awarded NIST Phase I SBIR
AAPlasma is proud to announce that we have been chosen by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to receive funding for our project “Direct Deposition of Durable Composite Road Marking Material onto Pavement Via Quasi-Equilibrium Plasma” as part of their 2022 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding to improve our nation’s Physical Infrastructure and Resilience.
In this project, we will be working with NIST to develop a plasma-based system that can rapidly and effectively resurface and deposit new road markings in a single pass. This will reduce the time and resources needed to maintain our nation’s road network infrastructure.
Our roads keep our citizens moving. We all rely on the more than 4 million miles of public roadways in the United States to move us, to move our loved ones, and to move our things. Every day, nearly $17 trillion worth of goods and millions of people across the nation. Our project will keep our roads safe, keep you and our supply chain moving, and save our taxpayer’s money.
AAPlasma is proud to be able to do our part to make our roads safer, reduce traffic, and pave the way for the future. We thank NIST for this opportunity, and we look forward to making a difference in our nation’s infrastructure.
