AAPlasma is Awarded EPA Phase II SBIR
AAPlasma is proud to announce that we have been chosen by the Environmental Protection Agency to receive funding for Phase II of our project “Plasma Enhancement of Absorbers for improved removal of PFOS and PFOA from Water” as part of their 2019 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) funding.
This award will allow AAPlasma, with the support of Drexel University’s Nyheim Plasma Institute, to build on our promising Phase I work and develop a pilot-scale prototype of our technology and optimize it to remedy the shortcomings in existing water filtration technology in the removal of PFOA/PFOS from drinking water.
AAPlasma is proud to be a part of the solution to the growing problem of PFOA and PFOS in our environment and water. We thank the EPA for the opportunity, and we look forward to making a difference in the health of the planet and its people.
